The situation

The firm had drifted into heavy offshore reliance for critical chip-design and test-engineering work. Quality variance, IP-control exposure, and slow turnaround were all biting. Senior leadership wanted to bring the work onshore without taking a quality hit on the transition.

What we did

    Audited the existing engineering org, identified which functions were genuinely better onshore versus those legitimately handled offshore, and prioritized the critical paths.

    Sourced senior chip-design and test-engineering candidates through trusted technical networks; ran structured interviews and reference loops alongside the firm's CTO.

    Built out the onshore bench in phases, transitioned workload off offshore vendors, and stayed through the first delivery cycles to ensure the new team held quality.

Outcome

Engineering org now runs critical paths from a senior onshore bench, with measured improvements in turnaround time and IP control. Offshore arrangements wound down on the firm's timeline, not in panic.
